Forward, the region’s development agency. As host port, Hull and the Humber is planning a spectacular send off and
a very warm welcome for crews, supporters, sponsors and visitors in an extensive programme of supporting events – from the fleet’s arrival in
Grimsby Marina on Friday 4th September 2009, to the start from Hull on Sunday 13th and the final farewell from the Humber as the ten Clipper
yachts pass Cleethorpes and Spun Point to emerge into the North Sea
on the first of seven challenging race legs. 35,000 miles and ten months later the fleet will return on 17th July 2010 –
