The Hull & Humber entry is backed by
Yorkshire Forward - the region’s development agency behind the economic regeneration of Yorkshire and the Humber. The aim is to promote the region on a world stage, to attract major events and to boost the local economy, trade, tourism, image and social inclusion.

In Clipper 07-08 Hull & Humber finished a close second behind the New York entry in a tough 35,000 miles race around the globe. In Clipper 09-10 the region will not only have an entry but will be hosting the start and finish of this prestigious race on the Humber.
